Cervantée EK Wild
Cervantée is a PhD student at the Liggins Institute, University of Auckland and the Taranaki District Health Board. She is undertaking mixed-methods research on how to support families to make persistent healthy lifestyle changes in order to address childhood obesity in an equitable way. Whānau Pakari (Fah-no Puckari) is a multicomponent healthy lifestyles programme in Taranaki, a mixed urban-rural region of New Zealand. Cervantée’s research is at the nexus of public health and real-world clinical research, focusing on the long-term follow-up of Whānau Pakari participants and their families and understanding the barriers and facilitators of engagement in order to improve retention in the programme.
