Amanda Sainsbury-Salis

With a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a PhD from the University of Geneva, Switzerland, Amanda leads a research team at the University of Sydney’s Boden Institute of Obesity, Nutrition, Exercise & Eating Disorders. Amanda’s research into hypothalamic control of appetite, body weight and body composition aims to help more people to lose excess weight and keep it off. Her translational research spans studies with transgenic mice to randomized controlled trials in humans. Amanda’s current research is funded by NHMRC-funded project grants totalling over $1.8 million, and she is supported by an NHMRC Senior Research Fellowship.
