Stefan Broer
Stefan Broer is Professor of Biochemistry at the Australian National University. His main research interest is the physiology and pathophysiology of amino acid transport and amino acid homeostasis in mammalian cells and organisms. He has made significant discoveries in the area of epithelial amino acid transport and their related disorders. He is now using this knowledge to disturb amino acid homeostasis as a means to develop new treatments of metabolic disorders.
